Notes The Action originally formed as The Boys in 1963 and changed their name a year later. They signed to Parlophone Records and were produced by George Martin. Their hits included “Land of a Thousand Dances” and “In my Lonely Room”. Alan King left to form the band Ace known for their worldwide hit, “How Long (Has This Been Going On)”, and were one of Phil Collins’ favorite bands.

In 1965 Episode 6 formed in London and were regulars at the Marquee Club. They had limited success with 9 singles and collaborated with David Bowie. Later Ian Gillan and Roger Glover left the band to form Deep Purple in 1969.
